It was commissioned in 1860 by the owners at the time, priests Saverio and Aloysio Lorusso.
Their act was a political one: the clergymen supported the Bourbons, who had by then been defeated by the House of Savoy, and for this reason, they chose to leave the city.
But in that inscription, we can still find the reasons why so many choose Masseria dei Preti for their holidays today: the slow pace, the courtesy of the staff, and the tranquility of the surrounding countryside offer a chance to recharge, far from the impatience of the city.
Masseria dei Preti is a countryside relais in the heart of Puglia – in Conversano – lovingly managed by our family: Silvio and Caterina, together with their daughters Ezia and Simona.
